Unexpectedly good pairing with coq au vin blanc with mushrooms and potato puree.

Strikingly lively perfume. Notes of citrus, chalk, fruit blossoms, and shale. The wine tastes like it smelss. Expressive mouthfeel, serious acid, tangy and zingy thoughout, generous finish. Fine QPR. 90-91.

Salmon color! Pretty good combination of fruit and brioche, which was not expected from am Aldi bottle. Good match for fried chicken fingers! Tasted much more harmonious than the last one.

Came right out with a buttery and slightly exaggerated palate of toasted bread - might even have been slightly flawed. Not as good as I remembered from last time.

Pretty good for the price, nothing more to say actually. Would drink it again if I'd come around it, would not buy it again tho. For 15-20 € there are sparkling wines like german Sekt, that are far more interesting.

Pretty awesome! The last time we had this champagne for New Year's. It had a Rosé touch. This time it's rather yellow in the glass. The brioche flavor seems stronger, though. Awesome combination with cream cheese with peach, Papaya and orange!!

Für einen Schaumigen wirklich gut! Lachsfarben im Glas, schöne Cremigkeit. Feine Perlage.

Pale gold. Pronounced on the nose with apple, pear, dough, almond and caramel. Developing. Medium plus intensity and dry on the palate. High acidity, medium alcohol, light body, medium plus finish. Drink now. Not suitable for aging or further aging.

Devaluing the champagne bread a bit here. Nondescript and lacks finesse and richness.

Early evening National Gallery private viewing. A Lanson sous-marque champagne. Assertive mousse. Crystalline pineapple and steely minerality finishing sec rather than brut. Moreish but could be any half-decent European fizz and not necessarily champagne!

This surely delivers for the money, it is now £11.49 @ Aldi, and yet will rival a lot of fizz <20. Refreshing with some citrus notes but also have some of the minerality and weight that you would expect from champagne. Definitely to buy again.

The last bottle of a case bought 18 months ago. It is delicious, and has gained weight over the the last 18 months. I think this has however highlighted the RS which is more obvious now. The palate is reasonably complex, with flavours of apple, mushroom etc. the finish is quite sweet - a little too much, though as I mentioned, this is not as obvious when younger.

You may think I've taken leave of my senses giving this budget supermarket wine by Aldi 92 points but it's absolutely ridiculous value for money and probably has one of the best QPR's in champagne currently. It's a startling achievement to be frankly honest - I'd pay 3X what this wine costs. Adli and Philizot & Fils/Charles Mignon (there seems to be some confusion as to who’s made it) need an enormous pat on the back for this. This is …

(Fishmarkets w Mich&Bo) Clean peach on the nose, with toasted bread, light lemon. lively fine beads. Red apple skin with time, biscuit, fresh acidity. Paired nicely with our sashimi and fruits of the sea. Great value!

This is good VFM. It's crisp, it has a reasonably fine mousse, it has good balance, fruit, a bit of citrus, a hint of yeastiness. None of that biscuitynonsense but what do you expect for a "proper" fizz which often goes for under a tenner.

A: clear, pale to mid yellow, good mousse at first but faded N: clean, medium, yeasty, some fruit - citrus/apple P: dry, medium(+) acidity, medium(-) body, short to medium finish, bread/brioche, citrus fruit, apple Overall: bit too acidic, short to medium finish, not particularly intense, no great complexity - ACCEPTABLE to GOOD Bought cheaply at Aldi - good VFM

(Eli Bday Brunner) Mature fruits, white flowers, with some yeasty brioche. Light and elegant, ending with some straw/hay and hints of funky cheese right at the end.
