Alois Lageder Kalterersee Classico Römigberg

This wine has the color, nose, and flavor of stawberry Kool Aid. i always like to try wines made from unusual varietals, and this wine is one of them. The grape used in this wine is called Schiava, also known as Trollinger. It’s not something that I would purchase again. The wine is very light bodied with smooth tannins and a short finish.

Tried off the wine by the glass menu at Aldo Sohm. This is a very weird wine. It's all stinky bandaids on the nose and almost smells moldy and musty. The palette is many different levels of leather. Perhaps a bit woodsy. No fruit. Interesting to try, but not quite my wine.

AiS Arezzo (Arezzo) : Light ruby red, with a purple rim. A bit closed at nose, alcohol dominant, then some cherries. Very good acidity at taste, a very easy wine, with a normal structure.
