This was way better than expected and merited a better food match. Very dark in colour, not really showing any age at all, maybe some dark brick on the rim, but very opaque and dark. Nose was intense, aromatic with earthy, brush and dried leather, dark plum and mulberry fruit. Pitch black almost to the rim and then there is a quick transition to dark, bruised mulberry. Super powerful nose you can smell from 3 feet away! Big, brooding, fun to drink, huge fruit and big legs. drink over the next 3 years.

This wine opened up after an hour in the decanter, giving earth, pepper, cedar and slight cassis. I will not be in a hurry to drink the other bottles, drink it but I don't see it getting better.

An even further decline to the fruit since last go. While still a pleasant little bordeaux, the alcohol burn is now simply too much for this one-time gem. A shame, considering how delicious & balanced this was 4-5 years ago.
