Chateau La Tour Seran 2006, Bordeaux Medoc - Surprisingly mature for her age. Spices, wood chips, chocolate and a little mint on the nose. Clearl tannins, and a delightful acidity in fine balance with black berries, leather. Some animal or possibly mineral touch. Much of wine for the buck. A perfect wine for Saturday's roast lamb with creamy gravy. Acid in plenty also to match the sauce. 88p. (91p to food)

dark red-brown developed earthy secondary & tertiary aroma full bodied, very tannic, masculine, savoury rustic flavours, ripe fruits, chewable, harder than St. Estephe character.

Churchill's: 2005 Bordeaux (Maumee, OH) : Open, fruit-forward nose, fairly ripe and smooth. Juicy, medium+ tannins/acid/body. Slightly candied and sour. Very pleasant, a crowd lpeaser. Simple red-black plums. Hot.
