Fresh, crisp with fine bubbles, bright citrus, subtle brioche, and a clean, lively finish. For $30 AUD, it delivers outstanding value as the entry level sparkling from House of Arras, arguably Australias best sparkling winery

Light straw colour. Nose just a touch of autolysis, fresh lemons and citrusy nose. Fine small bubbles trickling, slightly short lasting mousse. Lively quite zippy and electric bubbles, relatively short lived but followed by bright, zesty high acid backbone. Some white florals. Clean, crisp, precise and citrusy finish. Light to medium bodied. Not too long lived body but acidity is the highlight here. Pretty well put together.

Yoghurt, cream cheese, some pear and white nectarine. The acidity is striking on the palate. Medium finish

Opened this at home for our annual New Year's Eve gathering and celebration. We ordered food from Chef's Hat, Pizza Hut and 4 Fingers. Vibrant bubbles from the go. Pale gold, with toasted nuts and almonds, fresh acidity, and a clean, crisp finish. Beautiful way to end the year and looking forward to the start of a new one!

Balanced, straight forward method champenoise blend that seriously rivals some entry level french houses NV. Vibrant, fresh good acidity very dry with 6.4 g/l dosage. Fantastic value.

Dry, tight palate, with small vigorous bubbles. Not a lot of yeast, tart grapefruit flavours, medium/high acidity, slightly short, bone-dry finish. Not great value, especially when you know how much better their pricier wines are.

Vers serious wine Chardonnay nd lees driven it is autolytic but in the best way, it was served blind in 3 flights for exam preparation... Pale Gold Nose of Yeats, brioche, toast, autolytic, complex and buttery, layers of ripe fruits, apple, and honey, ... many secondary... and hints of tertiary. Really great nose palate is dry/off dry, but dosage does not stick too much in the end ! it delivers loads of complexity and a med+ acidity, it is complex, …

Found this in Singapore after visiting the winery in Dec. The entry level sparkling made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier. No information on the back label. Lemon in color, aroma of lime, lemon, asparagus. Med body on the palate. Great value and ringer for champagne

Austalia Trade Tasting (Lindley Hall, Royal Horticultural Halls) : high carbonation, some yeast notes, lacks depth
Taster #5845 · Jan 14, 2023
Quite apple-like. Medium sized bubbles. Good palate coverage though. For the $30-something its very good value. Dry, medium length finish.

Wow. Not bad for an entry level and also an intro to the big guns from the highly coveted House of Arras. Very short mousse like foam on initial pour with medium fine bubbles and medium intensity. Nose: green apple, lime peel, citrus & our Malaysian Buah Salak. Palate: medium high acidity, plenty of zest & crisp with rounded flavors of citrus & lime peel. I really enjoyed the bracing saline and minerality driven finish as well. Finish is luscious …

This is great value and very competently made and makes a wonderful alternative to champagne, very refreshing and effervescent, salty with pear like aromas with a dry finish. Highly recommended.

brief notes, tiny pour N....usual suspects but no intensity T....some essence, not esp dry, good fruit, sustained flavours. Rec RP 19.99......worth that

{cork, 12.5%} bright, fresh, quasi-apple aromas. Similar palate, with medium, fairly aggressive bubbles, medium acid, not much yeast character, simple white fruit, but still with an air of quality about it. Might repay a few years, but as the entry wine in the hierarchy its always going to struggle to impress especially. Fair value for the $30 odd price.

@ The World of Fine Wine (List) Awards. Good introduction to the House of Arras' Sparkling wines. Spent 3 years on the lees and 6 months on-cork before being released. Very good p/q ratio!

Some good creaminess, browning fruit (pear and citrus) and just too much residual sugar to be other than targeting the mass market. Long but not necessarily good finish. Hard to pour a second glass. reasonable quaffer, not too expensive.

Primarily citrus on the nose, with citrus and ripe green pear on the palate. Lush creaminess on the medium-plus weight palate, with a strong acidic frame. Sweet pear and sugar dominates the mid palate. This has the richness and texture to be a very nice (big styled) sparkler, but is lacking in balance, with the sweetness too dominant and few flavors to compete with the juicy green pear.

{diam, 12.5%, A$20} Peefect replica of Rieslingfanatic's note. Citrus, stone fruits, crisp acid, fairly creamy texture, small bubbles, fresh and fairly zesty. Has a little autolysis character, despite its modest place in the Arras hierarchy. Medium weight. Great level of interest for the price.

Another note - tasted blind this time. Fine bead. Crisp smelling nose with lemon pith, lime peel, touch of bread / biscuit. Palate has citrus, then some richness in the mid palate (creaminess, stone fruits), smooth and well balanced to finish.
