Lacking the earthy forrest floor that I like about Oregon pinots, it did have the sourness that I don't like about pinot noir. OK but not very interesting.

Nice Willamette Valley Pinot. Beautifully in the middle between CA and Burgundy pinots. Good structure and earth tones, but good backbone of fruit as well. Lovely

Light-medium red color. PNP, drank a glass over an hour. This was quite light bodied, it shows some cherry fruit, but it was more earthy, with soil and iron at this point. I had hoped for a bit more from the vintage. 88+ to 89ts.

Medium ruby/purple in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & plums with overtones of floral & earthy/dusty notes, spices, tea, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of red cherries, cranberries & pomegranate with spices, herbs, minerals & a delicate touch of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present & should develop slightly further …

Pinots from around the world (Chain Bridge Cellars, McLean VA) : At a tasting of 15 pinots from around the world, including 5 from Oregon, this was the ripest of them all. It's a blend of fruit from 3 well known vineyards: Shea, Freedom Hill, and Temperance Hill. As mentioned, ripe raspberry and cherry fruit. I think it's well balanced, but may have suffered in my opinion from following a few Gevrey-Chambertins and being immediately followed by two superb wines …

Simply slaps, this is a little on the ripe side of where I want to be with my Pinot, but goodness I'm being way too picky to say so, this is excellent... Aromas of dark cherry, raspberry, a little ribena, plus beets, balmy pine forest, roses, airy spice and subtle fungus... Sneaky weight, this is rather full, but it still shows off Pinot's intrinsic tendency towards elegance, acids are incisive and tannins are fine, layers of fresh fruit coat the …

Day 1: Diam 10. Right from FedEx and the tradition of trying a bottle after delivery continues to see zero evidence of bottle shock which is a complete myth. Maybe for Champagne or older bottles but not young. The best Villages Cuvee I have ever tasted. Cranberry, cherry blossoms, rose petals, mild spices, dust and earth. Super complex Pinot for the money. Outstanding value. 92 points Day 2: Not as good and this might go down as a pop and …

Now "this is what I've been waiting for" (Simon Cowell)! Great QPR in an OPN. Tried it at the winery and bought a 6 pack. Splash decant and 30' later it's singing like the talented backup at the opera or at AGT. Obviously young black cherry, spice, cola, earth and a tiny floral note. It's not remarkably deep or complex, but hey this is Tuesday! Great with pomegranate citrus salmon tonight. Now-2027.

Cherry and earth on the nose and palette. I used my Coravin to pour 1/2 the bottle 2 weeks ago. It drank well and was fairly round. I consumed the remainder of the bottle last night and was drinking beautifully, possibly a little better than the first pours.

Drinking beautifully. Wonderful Oregon nose with fantastic integrated fruit. Smooth tannins and long finish complete this gem. Even on day two it was still going strong, a sure sign of a well made wine.

Tasted after several hours of air. Very floral on the nose. Medium garnet color. Firm acidity. Some violets. Plenty of lift on the mid palate. Cherry fruit. Excellent balance. Some spicy notes. Very well done for an entry level pinot. This punches way above a its modest price.

Fresh, electric, racy, with a little funk, bight acidity, crunchy fruit, lotta wood on the finish! Hell, it was better than then the Pinot Brunâtre I poured out of the bottle of Flowers. Gets a mulligan.

Dark cherry, cola, smoke, spices; medium acid, medium- tannins, 13.5% ABV, medium body, medium+ intensity, medium finish. Paired wonderfully with grilled wild salmon with basil and opened up beautifully during the meal. A blend of six vineyards: Freedom Hill 12%, Temperance Hill 10%, Momtazi 14%, Vitae Springs 14%, Shea 10%, and Zenith 40%. Destemmed and fermented in small stainless and Burgundy oak fermenters with no SO2. Aged in French oak barrels, 13% new. Not fined. 4300 cases.

Good typicity on the nose with aromas of forest floor, cranberry juice, and a wallop of vanilla oak. Sweet with a soft cake quality. Cap'n Crunch cereal, cranberries. Cool climate. My critique is the excess oak, which may settle with time.

Drinking very nicely now. Great value for a wine that comes across as much more nuanced and interesting than the anemic and/or mass-produced Pinot one expects from Willamette Valley at this price point. Profound, nuanced, savory, and funky.

This wine is delicious with a double decant, into the decanter, then back into the Venturi. This is in my wheelhouse of Oregon Pinot, with a mix of bright cranberry and cherry...it’s not burgundeon, nor will it ever be, but this is a good partner for salmon, or if I had to guess, a marinated pork tenderloin. It’s pretty damn good after letting it sit in the glass for 30 mins before tasting, so good things in my eyes for …

Delightful. Much more accessible than another recent 2014 of St. Innocent's that I opened (much too early apparently). Beautiful nose of berries and roses, medium bodied, great mouth feel with a full range of berry/cherry/plum fruits. The acid balance was spot on. One of the more memorable Villages Cuvee bottlings I have had in recent years.

Cranberry, raspberry, porcini mushroom. Bright acidity and weightless mouthfeel. This wine is all about restraint and finesse, and is way more food friendly than a lot of its peers from the recent vintages in Oregon. A divine pairing with salmon.

Tasted at a large dinner with friends, so I don't have detailed notes. This is a very good village wine from St. Innocent. I have only previously had the 2014, and this wine is not currently up to the quality of that wine. This 2017 is young, should develop for a couple of years, and I look forward to future bottles.

Simple but charming OR PN. Opened and let slow ox in bottle for 75 mins. Unequivocal OR earthiness, coupled with cherries, cranberries, and dust. Good acidity. Nice freshness. Well balanced wine. Excellent QPR. Will revisit in a year or two. And reminds me - I should buy more wine from this producer.

Very closed as a PnP, so let it set for an hour in the glass. Pale ruby in color. Floral and earthy nose with some bright cherry. Started off with loads of dried strawberries which resolved to some tart cranberry and earthy notes with time. Would pair well with a wide variety of food. Great Oregon pinot for the money.
