One Hope Pinot Noir

Here I found a burst of sweet cherry and blueberry, which evolved to reveal undergrowth, lavender, spice and savory minerality. On the palate, silky textures gave way to waxy red berry fruits and minerals. The finish was long and tart with notes of blueberry skins and inner floral tones.

Smooth, mild

Nicely balanced, good finish. Delicious!

Dinner hosted by Mark T with special guests Pat and Mimi from Bethel (The Smile Restaurant, 26 Bond Street, New York City) : First of the reds for the evening, fun to drink this with vintner Mimi Casteel. Inaugural vintage, I think only 500 cases made. Dark ruby color. Expressive and fruit forward nose of red berries and earth(?). On the plate it was up front fruit -black cherry, blueberry, raspberry - evolving through the mid palate with some herbs. …
