Animale Zinfandel

Not what I was expecting based on my experience with Zinfandel. Very light wine that I would have guess was a Pinot Noir if it was served blind. Nose had elements of strawberries and black pepper. Very subtle wine that lets the fruit come through without covering it up with high alcohol or oak. Would purchase again.
