Robert Parker: 95 Robert Parker: “My pick of the domaine's current releases is the 2017 Montpeyroux la Cote Rousse, 100% Syrah aged in barriques from Nadalié. Effusive notes of vanilla and raspberry on the nose are followed by a wine of serious structure and concentration. It's full-bodied and rich through the mid-palate, turning silkier and more elegant on the long finish. Give it another year or two in the cellar and drink it over the following decade." No notes as drank with a group after a few beers, but very nice and highly recommended, especially at the price point, £14 from Costco

No edges, but clearly too young. Strong earthy smell, chewy texture. This should push 91-92 in 5 years, especially considering the INCREDIBLE QPR. At this point it is a good Crozes Hermitage level, but, given my experience with the 2001, it will move to a basic Cote Rotie Niveau in 5-7 years.
