Leaf Day - dark lemon in the glass. Appealing nose showing herbs and a rich floral/fruit scent I can’t quite determine. Mouth filling texture with ripe orchard fruit, herbs and a touch of honey on the palate and long finish. Excellent with garlic scape pesto and spot prawn linguine.

A private tasting and lunch with Eric and Marianne de Bruijn (De Bruijn Wijnkopers / Restaurant Het Savarijn, Nijmegen, NL) : Solid Bordeaux blanc, complete and to the point. Ripe fruit with a tropical lining, vegetal notes, well integrated oak, good intensity and length. Everything in place.

With its floral aromatics and ripe, bright, yellow citrus, the wine is forward and ready to drink.

Light yellow color; aromatic, almond, lime cream nose; almond, lime cream palate with good balancing acidity; medium-plus finish (80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon)

UGC 2019 Los Angeles (Jeremy Hotel, West Hollywood) : Once again, seemed more sauv blanc heavy; showing grass and sour apple. A touch woody on the mid palate and good acidity; good stony minerality on the slightly hot finish.

Zachys Grands Crus de Bordeaux 2016 (New York City, NY) : I have this at 80% SB and 20% semillion. That said I found this as a blah wine. Hard to find fruit and harder to find ageable qualities.

Gold in colour - the nose on this is glorious- lime lemon with great minerality- close your eyes and inhale and you can practically envision wet stones on the ocean - on the palate refreshing crisp citrus that evolves into a smooth creamy vanilla finish that lingers on the palate like a citrus creamsicle- j’adore ce vin!

Less finesse than the best 2015s at this tasting, a little linear, but well made, lively with medium length and good concentration of fruit. 88-90

Fresh, ripe, citrus notes, with floral aromatics create an interesting, refreshing, crisp lemon and pomelo centered wine.

Union Des Grand Crus de Bordeaux Tasting of the 2015 Vintage, nose of grapefruit, lemon, and allspice, same on the palate, light/medium body, almost fruit forward, tasty, touch simple, good value, better with a year in the cellar, and a medium finish.
