Chateau de La Chaize, Brouilly

PnP straight from the cellar at 12°. Fresh and lots of dark fruit. Not a lot of tannins and a short finish. Good wine overall.

A surpisingly fullish body , for a cru Beaujolais. On nose: sun ripened berries of various types, with a ghost of dried herbs. On palate: all above flavour notes enhanced, with faint notes of mild coffee, and a slightly savoury and chalky finish ....the 14 % alcohol displays no heat. Went well with leftover turkey and pasta salad, this evening....pleasant wine, with a somewhat New World vibe, for a Gamay.

Beaujolais base. Naso di fiori, tipo gerani, e insaccati, tipo salumi ? Corpo leggero, alcool 14 gradi molto ben nascosto. Il sorso è piacevole e fruttato di cranberry, ribes e lamponi e piacevolmente acido. Molto rappresentativo e indice di bevibilità alto.
