This was quite enjoyable pnp, cork was in good shape and immediately opened up with luxurious dark cherries and milk chocolate with some woodsy spice. Color was translucent ruby with a sepia filter, just a hint of bricking. The foundation feels strong after all these years with nice acid and fine tannins. Air was not its friend, picking up a metallic twang when left in the glass more than 15 minutes or so. Still an impressive showing for a 30 …

Holding up well for a 23 year old Pinot as their 25 anniversary reserve.

(Mostly) Oregon Dinner at Cherry Circle Room (Chicago, IL) : A slight bit denser than the regular 95 Ponzi, and shows a touch more sweet black fruit, but at the same time there are still quite a few of those weedy elements here. In fact, I'd say that the weediness here is even slightly more pronounced than the regular Ponzi. The acid's starting to jut out a little bit, and there isn't too much fruit left -- I'd be broaching …

Developed complexity over the years and is drinking well. Long finish, the fruit has mellowed and taken on a velvet consistency. A remarkable wine from a weak vintage. If you have some drink now.

This wine was beautiful. It was packed with a mixture of strawberries and currant on the nose and palate. There was enough soft, residual tannins for balance. This was the last of 6. All in all, it held up remarkably well and if you have any, I suggest now is a great time to make a dent in your collection.

Found this bottle in the cellar and said 'why not give it a try'.... opened and decanted it for 1hour but at first smell you could tell it was off. Took a sip and had to throw it out.... spoiled.

Light color, not quite clear or tanslucent, it seem to have faded in color, as well as taste. While there was some fruit, and a little character, most of the verve and life has passed on...

Surprisingly seems already past its peak. Fruit largely faded but tannins never perfectly integrated, so it's still a bit harsh. Well balanced with good earth elements on both nose and palate, but not at the level i'd expect for this fine producer.
