Black Sheep Finds Grenache Holus Bolus Lyons Vineyard

Barnyard, menthol, licorice, ripe black cherries, ripe red raspberries, ground allspice, ground clove and ground cinnamon on the nose. Medium + intensity of aromas. The flavors are pretty consistent with the aromas. It's about 50/50 split between fruit and spice. Medium + intensity of flavors. Medium + body with medium acid and medium tannins. Approachable now, upon release, and will drink well over the next 2-3 years.

PnP. Pale ruby to the rim. Nose is bright red fruit; strawberry, raspberries, new leather, herbs, savory character. Palate is dry, stewed red fruits; medium acidity, medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ finish. ABV 14. Moderate complexity. A fantastic producer out of Los Olivos. A fun wine. Excellent quality 91

I enjoy the Holus Bolus lineup - this was a bit lighter than expected (esp w 15% Syrah included) - still enjoyable and clean
