Dinner with friends (@Private location, Stuttgart) : Glass: Riedel Superleggero Burgundy Popped and poured. Purchased 2024 from the winery, so perfectly stored bottle. Quite advanced, deep garnet color. Clean, medium intense, fully developed nose. Wonderful German Pinot, racy, perfectly integrated acidity, beautiful balance and texture. Lacks a bit of tension to be truly great, but this is a first world problem. Not as fresh as young as I thought. Quite at its full peak. Long, fruity, spicy finish. 93-94

Aroma of fresh red berries, sous bois, hints of leather. Lots of spices on the palate, great structure, rustic yet complex. Exciting german Pinot.

Cherry Cherry Cherry all over ! Much acid but enough flesh to keep,the balance. Lovely texture and good finish. So fresh !

Something was wrong. Usually my favourite pinot noir producer and this is his top wine. When I tried the 2007 a few times in the last year it was always sublime. But something was really not right about this 2010. At first I thought maybe it was too young, while that still might be a possibility i really found this wine not to have much character and structure. Gorgeous aromas of raspberries, rose petals, damp moss, and coffee. The softest texture - like sinking into a memory foam mattress. Drink slowly and pay attention. Velvet that dissolves into flavors of flowery red fruit. These notes become more complex leading to a symphonic denouement laced with minerals. The tannins are low, the acid is high, the finish is long, and the wine is simply beautiful.
