Compost, smoke, orange zest and animal fur on the nose. Bright yet forceful in the mouth with dark red and purple fruits (savory as opposed to sweet in appearance) starting bright and ending dark. Long finish adds to the pleasure.

Perfumed, floral cooler climate shiraz style. Northern Rhone inspired. Excellent example of this style of Australian shiraz. I'm not normally a fan of young cool climate Syrah but this is floral without black pepper and geranium. Yes it is still young but worth drinking if the food is carefully matched. I really can't predict how long this should be aged for. My guess is that it will drink best 2016-2022. Sealed with screwcap. 14%ABV.

A very good effort. Easy drinking medium bodied Shiraz. In the mouth the wine is smooth in texture and offers black fruit and hints of herbs. Very enjoyable and a great introduction to premium Shiraz. Time to drink!

Very smooth tannins, round, well balanced. Good fruit extraction. Very clean. Perfectly crafted, but the only thing that is missing is that something little special - so it fails to be exciting.

Intense dark ruby with purple-crimson tinge, poped & poured it has a prominent oaky nose with blackberries, dark cherries and roast herbs. The palate is soft, sweet and fruity, showing good ripeness of fruits and oaky coconut understones. Medium bodied, long spicy finish with velvety tannins. Still young and need 3 more years to come around but this is not a wine for long term aging. 89-90pts

Wow. Smells even more perfumed and dramatic than I ever remember? Perhaps its the Zalto glass? Great savory mineral finish too. Far, far more interesting than the fruit driven wine I remember. What a change. Maybe I was drinking the Cabernet before?
