Quick decant. Nose of vanilla pudding and light wild berry aromas followed by pine needles. Smooth, polished, and juicy palate delivers black cherry, black raspberry, and a touch of tart red fruit. A minty start to the finish before the broad but gentle tannins kick in with vanilla bean, sweet raspberry, and light French oak. Surprising tame in the spice and structure categories but a pleasant quaff.
