Bought at auction based on CT reviews. They are not wrong. Concentrated fruit, subtle oak, long.

Medium gold colour. Pronounced and developing nose with ripe yellow apples, ripe lemon, ripe peach, smoke, charred wood, butter, flint and wet stone. Medium (+) taste of ripe yellow apples, ripe lemon, ripe white peach, smoke, charred wood, butter, flint and wet stone. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru that has matured well. Drink now or over the next five to ten years. Goes well with cheeses, fish or shellfish.

Barrel Tasting at Benjamin Leroux (Beuane) : After all the Meursault wines you can appreciate the additional minerality and stoniness here. Big and brooding. Leaner, more firm fruit with so much mineral to the green apple. Will require 5+ years to soften. 92-93
