Very nice, but still showing primary flavours. Slightly one dimensional at this stage. Hopefully some additional time (2yrs) should round off the edges. Drinking well but am optimistic that an additional 2-5yrs will pay dividends.

First taste of one of the many bottles purchased across multiple vintages. The 2012 is plum, plum and more plum Very fruit forward but strikes me as a very one dimensional wine. No detectable tannins make me think that it is drinking at its peak. I won’t be buying anymore but hope to enjoy the remaining bottles of this (unremarkable?) wine.

Dark purple and open. Earthy aroma, maybe some tobacco. Rick plums in the mouth and very rounded.

Herbaceous and green. Actually was expecting something a lite better from the vale. Didn't have the fruit and a little dusty. Fine tannins. Wouldn't bother with another.

Very typical Vale shiraz. Good quality, well balanced but no surprise given the quality of vintage.

Very young and concentrated. Classic as blockbuster albeit a clear absence of obvious oak and sliver of quartz keeps the fruit lively. Not massive and I do wonder if this is more of a medium term drinker.
