Smith Story Cabernet Franc

Mid-weight with a juicy core of deep red fruit, this is a well-mannered Cabernet Franc that has some spring to its step, while also carrying mid-palate weight. I liked the juxtaposition of elegance and richness, as it created a real sense of an old world grape that found a new world home, but had not forgotten its roots. Fun to drink now, it has the depth and structure for several years of aging.

Really nice cab franc. Had at the tasting room after tasting their nice pinots and we were happily surprised. Perfumed nose. Soft yet complex layered pallette. Balanced and lingering. Curious if time will reveal more though it is quite good now. Had to bring some home.
