Weingut Willi Bründlmayer Grüner Veltliner Vincent's Spiegel

Medium lemon. Pronounced on the nose with pear, apricot, white pepper, lemon, cream, toast, baking spices, ginger, dried apple, nutty notes, and honey. Developing. Pronounced and dry on the palate with some caramel, mushroom and savoury notes coming though. High acidity acidity, medium alcohol, medium plus body, long finish. Can drink now but has potential for aging. Lovely wine. Incredible intensity and great length.

There is definitively an oak influence here, but very well integrated. More floral than the typical herbaceousness of Gruner Veltliner, with green fruit and light spices (vanilla, ginger). Quite intense in the mouth as well, crispy acidity and light nutty aftertaste.
