I've been wanting to try this wine since I first started taking wine seriously about a year ago. That kind of anticipation comes with some expectations which this wine didn't quite live up to. Made from single varietal of Ribolla Gialla, not pressed, just destemmed, poured in barrels awaiting spontaneous fermentation and macerate for 8 months with batonage. Not fined, filtered or added sulphur. Cloudy medium amber. Medium intensity rich aroma of quince, bruised apple, orange peel, autolytic nuances, hay, spices, dried apricots. Medium body, medium+ acidity, fine light tannins. Palate is slightly out of sync in intensity and richness comparing to aroma, feels quite linear, lacking depth and structure.

Chardonnay + Rebula blend. Hazy golden in the glass. Bright nose, so much complexity, still a baby. Energy and life on the palate, lightning strikes. No faults, just pure juice. Long, umami finish. Young, but amazing potential.
