Louis Billard Meursault

Artisan Tasting at SBR. Drank in Spiegelau Universal. Bottled aired for ~14 hours already. Nose nice green pear and citrus lemon drops, faint honeyed almond nut. Palate lovely balanced high acidity, medium bodied. Good medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of fleshy pear, citrus lemon drops, honeyed almond nut, faint oak spice. Juicy medium+ finish. 13.5% alc. A high quality Meursault village. Enjoyable.

As a boutique négociant, Louis Billard got these meursault grapes primarily from grands charrons and narvaux. The two lieu dits kinda tell the matching quality of this wine. And it truly answers to what I ask for, energy and delicacy. This meursault so far best expresses what Louis wants in term of his style. I look forward to seeing how Louis Billard manages his new vintages.
