Dsg 02/2012 The SC Réserve is 200 bottles kept at the estate until 2024. Very youthful nose of juicy citrus, lemon, grapefruit, and sea spray. Young palate, very fresh and beautifully refined. This is not a powerful champagne profile like many older champagnes from growners become with age (reminiscent of a Boulard Rachais 2004 drunk recently). After the grapefruit and lemon peel, come beautiful sea spray, carried by a great, subtle acidity. A good, fresh finish with a saline finish. …

Really lovely premier cru champagne. This has the reserve label which is direct from Gaston and a recent release. Looking at label though and after discussing with them at the tasting room it’s actually the original 2004 special club that’s sat in their cellar.
