Cherry on the nose and a little spice on the palate.

A nice wine. Ruby color, long legs, nose is muted. The taste is of suit and pepper. Long finish.

Dark fruit, minimal pepper

A really tasty Zin! And goes great with pizza. Only slightly peppery...black fruits and red fruits and muddled blueberry...and maybe some musty strawberry. Fruity is the word...but not the feeling...comes off as nuanced and well-balanced.

The aroma opens with an almost gamey quality, with a generous amount of suede and a hint of smoke. Black currant and black cherry preserves, roasted coffee beans, a faint hint of truffles make this an excitingly complex, fascinating wine to sit and sniff. At first sip the palate is deep and smoky and full of black leather tones. A day in Paso (Denner, Tablas Creek, Graves ...) : -- tasted a single glass, non-blind in tasting room –– Magenta-ruby color of medium-deep depth. Tight nose; medium-full bodied; fruity brambly flavors; hint of leather.

We drank this with goat cheese toasts and pasta bolognese, and we really enjoyed it. Very spicy on the nose, chocolate and velvet.
