Smells just a touch of wood, or kinda that woodshop smell that I like and know so well. And then rustic on the palate palate and still quite tasty. Rustic as it goes. Dad started the estate. Dad was a vineyard scout for a big producer in the area and his job was to go out and find vineyards. The guy didn't wanna buy and its way up at the top of the hill.

Full bodied and powerful, with traction and gumption to it. Lots of body and Syrah based power.

Served cold, and kinda better for it. With some guts and power to it.

Rich and full, yet vibrant. So does it have allot of Syrah in it? No, only 20% according to the back label, but it tastes like more than that to me! This is really tasty as well. Would like it a shade less expensive, but here it is.

Popped and poured, The acidity seems somewhat tart. There's still a lot of good fruit. The wine seems pretty young.

Tasting really smooth now. The high alcohol taste has receded. Probably won't keep a whole lot longer

As usual, I love this wine, in particular due to its nice salt licorice type of minerality. Nice, balanced fruit as well, dominated by fresh strawberries. Drinking well now but could still improve with time.

A beautiful fruit-driven Cotes de Rhone. Smooth on the palate and a delight with food.

A bit closed on day 1, but after 24 hours in the fridge it was more expressive. The 2010 seems to be a bit less opulent and fruity than the 2007. It is still quite a full bodied and powerful wine, but it manages to combine these features with a freshness and elegance that i love. Red fruits, licorice, herbs, meat and stones. Great!

Fairly muted red fruit nose. Dark violet colour. Smooth, silky mouthfeel, dark fruit, smooth tannins, medium to long length, well made wine drinking well.

Bright violet red. Rich floral, dark fruits on nose. This is a smooth, supple, but surprisingly deep wine. Young, but drinking well with a solid acidic backbone with smooth tannins.

Red fruit and slight herbiness on nose. Mauve bright colour. Fresh, voluptuous big bright raspberry, cherries, herbs. Lovely, benefits from air.

Right up my alley, once again. I just love the minerality and freshness of this wine.

Really nice and quite approachable already. Brilliant red fruit and some licqourice and herbs. Great mouthfeel with good acidity, balanced fruit, good tannins and some meaty aromas. Young, sure, and better with food, but very good on its own as well. Surprisingly elegant, actually. Drinking very nicely right now, but will probably improve a bit.

Remarkably well drinkable for such a young wine (give it about 60 minutes of air prior to consumption). Predominantly made from Grenache (70 % - 60 years old vines), accomplished with 20 % Syrah (35 years old vines) and 10 % Carignan (60 years old vines). No oak treatment; the wine was matured in cement tanks of 80 hectoliters. Very dense black-purple color and an aromatic nose exhibiting aromas of blackberry, kirsch, earth and a hint of green pepper. Opulent, …
