Peter Wetzer Furmint Somló

Tried the grape/wine on the recommendation of a friend, a bit sparse for our taste though certainly of good quality.

Colour: Yellow with tints of green/brown. A very fine sediment throughout .... cloudy when disturbed. Aromas: Flinty, wet stones, lemons, herbs/green component. Flavours: Meyer lemons and a slight mint, ripe green apples (but not tart), minerality, with some herbalness. Overall/Mouthfeel: Dry wine, acidity could have more zip to it. But still a slight mellow tartness. Low to medium weight in mouthfeel, short to medium length in finish. A nice drinking smooth wine with no harsh edges. Nicely balanced. Drink now. …
