Wait to drink this wine! It will get better with age. We decanted — a must if you drink it now. It is still substantially tannic. It has a strong mushroom overlay. Black fruit underneath. Some spice (black pepper).The fruit is ripe without being over ripe and it is definitely not oak dominant, which is pleasant. An interesting wine that we think will evolve over time.

Massive funky wine - absolutely delicious.

Deep and dark. Beautiful nose of plum, prune, violets, dark leafy greens and a touch of smoky herbs. Quite tannic and a bit rough around the edges, but the tannins and acids are a pleasant buffer to significant ripeness. Lots of character and a long finish, if a bit uncouth.
