Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of black plum, vanilla, and graphite; on the palate, it's dry, with medium acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and hickory with a long finish. This wine is simple but balanced and intense. Overall, I rate this wine as good. Nellie didn't like it.

Was not a jammy, high RS, over-oaked wine. Very fruity, smooth. Obviously I didn't get a chance to take good notes but I was expecting worse. Did not win vs black chicken, but was ok.

44th Annual Zinfandel Retrospective - the 2017s (R&D's) : Blind. Initially dark and brooding, with dark plummy fruit and chocolate aromas. Full-bodied and quite rich, showing flavors of chocolate, blueberry and ripe dark fruit. With air aromas of blueberry and raspberry emerge and the palate softens, showing boysenberry and plum. Big, but fruity and balanced. 92+ pts. (R&D) My #2, Domino's #2 Group #1, 19 pts

Tasted again having home cooked lamb with best friends. Rich, fruity complete. Great oak. Plum. More black fruit than red. Enough acid to somewhat balanced. A bit of earth and mineral. We got purple teeth.

full body, 낮은 탄닌, 낮은 당도, 산미가 거의 없으나 진판델 특유의 잔당감이 느껴짐. 오크향인 나며 블루베리향이 나는 와인.

This is one of my wife's favorite wine, and we have had cases of it since that last review, but we stopped buying it about a year and a half when they raised the price to $30ish;We are still working off inventory from 2022 and the wine is benefiting from that botttle aging. This wine was smooth, sweet and drank easily and well. It's too sweet for me but I see why it is popular.

Very nice drinking bottle. A bit on the sweet side, but smooth and fruity, almost overripe and tending to plum flavor. Good balance Tannin is there but not much impact on the taste/mouth. (Purchased in late @@)

Smooth and balanced, but a bit more restrained than we usually look for in a Zin.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (V&M's) : Nonblind with dinner, decanted. Dark color. Dark jammy berry fruit, brambly spice and raspberry liqueur qualities on the nose and palate. Dark and ripe, slightly raisiny through the finish, with hints of white pepper as well. (V&M)

Dark, 15.5% ABV associated sweetness, aggressive yet appropriate acidity, light tannins, well made unidimensional Zinfandel aroma driven nose, highly extracted fruit, sourced from unnamed California locations. Just interesting enough to justify the rating. Source/vineyard specific Zinfandel from multiple vintners will likely reward with enhanced varietal complexity and depth.

Very nice Zinfandel/Primitivo but unimaginable high price... anyone can get so much better for so lower price if you just go for the original Primitivo Italian wine rather the fake pretentious Americ Zinfandel that this is really outrageous 😡😡😡 My last ever Zinfandel 😡👎😡 A very nice Primitivo, no doubt. All parameters. Color. Aroma. Tanines. Acidity. Ending. Structure. Palate. Complexity. Richness. Everything. Really. Enjoyed every sip. Was really sorry that it ended. But for such an hilarious price ❓👎👎

This is for when you want to go all out to satisfy your Zinfandel craving. They even threw in some Petit Sirah and Syrah to make sure your teeth really get purple. The color is about as dark as wine gets. The deep red and dark fruit is super concentrated and almost over the top. Yet it is balanced enough with smooth very refined appropriate tannins, and acid to help the fruit and alcohol work together. It’s not just the …

(Bought 09/2022) This bottle showed like Jeckyll and Hyde. With some cabbage burgers, it showed a round sweet red fruitiness that was luscious and especially tasty. However, with other food, it was tight with the fruit all tied together and overwhelmed by the spiciness. By itself, it was simply a nice Zin-based blend. Now a short rant: Why not include bottling dates on NV wines. It's currently impossible to be comfortable one is getting a fresh wine; Labeling for example: …

For what it is - a fruity California Sauv bomb - it does its job. The QPR is pretty bad at $25, though. Much out there better for less. Bought at Coscto; won't again Flavors were strawberry, preserves, blueberry

I've been steering away from Zins lately since I haven't enjoyed one for a while. This one I liked (maybe the company helped?). Anyway, definite cassis nose and flavour, pleasingly smooth, undertones of smoke and earth?

Tasted from a PnP. Dark purple-garnet in color. First thing on the nose is sulfur. Then I think Hostess Cherry Pie. After a few minutes I get sweet fake vanilla, cedar, sweet bramble, artificial cherry pie filling, and black peppercorn. This does not have the nose of a quality zin, but rather a $4.99 Central Valley red blend from BevMo. Thick bodied, sweet, and tastes manufactured. Sweet and smoky cherries, candied blueberries and blackberries, sweet oak spices, and an unnatural …
