Awesome Chardonnay. Some reduction on the nose. Wonderful acidity and balance. There’s a rich and nutty mid palate here that nods toward premier cru Chassagne. Long finish and a wonderful expression of Oregon chardonnay picked for ultimate balance.

Incredibly impressive bottling. Deft use of wood without showing oak flavors. Terrific balance. Enjoyable fruit reflecting classic Oregon Chardonnay profile. Gorgeous freshness. Lively. Perfect food wine. Tiny production. Hard to find, but if you can, you should.

A Taste of Eila Wines : Fruit sourced from Von Oehsen Vineyard in the Eola-Amity AVA (400-500’ elevation), from a section planted with CH95 clone. Harvested 6 September 2021. Crushed then pressed, fermented in 228l and 500l barrels. Stored on lees with minimal battonage. 42% new oak from a Damy puncheon Brilliant lemon yellow color with subtle lemon pith, lemon, almond pastry,flint and a hint of white blossom aromas. Wow what a treat. Took a chance on this during BerserkerDay, and a great payoff! Clean and precise, does not come across as oaky. Muted nose, medium acidity provides a nice lift. Subdued lemon with a bit of lemon pith which makes for a nice long finish with the acidity. Not a fruit bomb, instead a wine that impresses with its elegance. Found my new go-to Chardonnay!

Berserker Day Newbie Preview: Eila Wines : Sourced from the Von Oehsen Vineyard in Eola-Amity. Quite delicate and lacy on the nose with white flowers, key lime meringue, feuilletage, and frangipane.
