A little jammy, but the 70% Merlot imparted much depth. Consumed @ Emporium in Ft Collins, Co with bison short ribs in heavy brown sauce. Stood up perfectly. Drink now.

I found galewskj's notes about right. There is a rustic element, earth, mushrooms (?). Modest tannin, some dark fruit. fading (flat) mid palate . All in all just a ho-hum wine to pair with a noon burger. This btl was in fine condition and not flawed. I'd scream if I bought it in a restaurant. At around $20, who cares. Sorry you went deep here J.G.

I went rather long on these based on past experiences with the producer. This wine remains quite rustic and the evolution over time has been poor. I love my Bordeaux funk, but the funk here is a rustic anise with little complexity. It would be great to hear what others think of this wine.

This started out quite rough and never entirely smoothed out. Green and rustic with plummy almost raisined red fruit. Not as raisined as a 2015 I had last month. I'm starting to question this wine/producer.

This wine started out with a rich Bordeaux nose, and it quickly morphed into a sharp and rustic wine. Still enjoyable, but I'm not sure if this wine was flawed or is not aging well.

Takes a minute to open up. But great dark fruit and plenty of tannin. Had it with a bud cheese burger at home. Awesome with red meat.

Decanted 2 hours, drank over an hour. At this stage, the wine is elegant, balanced, has some nuance on the nose, and the palate is fairly young. I think this needs 3-4 years and have reasonable confidence that it will be a worthwhile aged Bordeaux. I just bought more.

Opened the night before, doubled decanted the afternoon of drinking. Little funk on the nose. Better palate. Will likely finish rest tomorrow, no problem aging. Will probably leave the rest of six pack for a year or two before I try another.
