Domaine Drouhin-Laroze Musigny

Medium to medium-dark ruby with pinkish-orange rim. Opened at 5:45pm. Initial nose was muted, but palate already exploding with dense stalky and earthy flavours. Served at 8pm. Wine was still opening. Fruits and some tertiary notes were coming out. Redcurrant, black truffles, oyster shell, summer garden flowers, cedar, incense, mild honey and minerality. Medium-full to full bodied, medium-high acidity, medium-high silky tannin, medium-high to high structure, medium alcohol and long finish. Complex, masculine and structured. Velvety palate like silk.
