Juicy dark berries, a creamy note, good acidity, and luscious earth make for a banger of a Beaujolais that is incredibly delicious.

Aromatically lovely with ripe red fruits like raspberry and cherry. Savory notes of clove and pepper come through as well. Medium body on palate with medium acidity and low tannin. The fruit bursts on the palate here. It has some delicious fruit roll up type qualities indicating some carbonic maceration likely took place. The finish lingers with strawberry and raspberry compote. There is a lot to love here if you are into sophisticated fruit bombs.

Always a good wine. It would likely improve with some aging, but we couldn't wait. Tasty balance of fruit and acids. Will surely purchase more.

Excellent value; Fleurie has perfect balance of structure, black juicy fruits, linear precision that comes from granite soil, floral bouquet, medium tannins, and medium plus finish. Outstanding mid-day wine for $28!

Delicious wine. I agree with those who say give it a slight chill, or at least cellar temperature. It could probably age for a few years, but it is good now. This wine sort of epitomizes why Beaujolais is such a great region. Well, it's not the only one, but this is one of them. Delicious berry fruits, nice acid, tastes like France.

On the one hand, Chignard Fluerie Les Moriers is chillable, easy drinking, fruity (cherry cola), with just enough acid and tannins to make it very food friendly (pizza, chicken, burgers, salmon, anything really). On the other hand it's got earthy notes, herbs (tarragon as pointed out by another reviewer), iron, damp soil, birch root, cloves, that make this a much headier experience than your typical table wine. Drink young with a slight chill and an open mind. Kind of reminds …

Picked this up as an add-on bottle recently when collecting a half-years accumulation of several orders. It wasn't a hard add, given every bottle of Chignard I've had through the years, regardless of vintage, has impressed the socks off of me, as here with striking tension of fruit and earth and a superb balance. I found this wine to be extremely deep in the bouquet and just as so on the palate. It seems a fruitier vintage than some others, …

This is very good wine. Excellent structural balance, with perfect acidity and tannins to my tastes. Great concentration. It’s just too assertively fruity for me to love. If you love red candyish fruit flavors, then you will love this.

Opaque dark red. Not as clear as some. Interesting light nose - tarragon? Medium weight in mouth with distinct Gamay fruit. Smokier and not as clean as some cru Beaujolais but I enjoyed it. Good with food.

Decanted from magnum. Two nights in a row so we must be on a bit of a Beaujolis kick. With tomorrow being New Year's Eve, we'll undoubtedly open something more grand. The color in the decanter showed no signs of age but it's a horse of a different color in the glass. A bit of browning on the rim fading into a rusty sunset. The nose is clean but absent of fruit. An image of wet peat moss comes to …

Nice example. Good light purple color but not much in the way of legs. Smooth and velvety taste and nose of seasonal fruit. Versatile wine and a good reason to sample cru gamey wines

Opened it based on the drinking window provided here. This may have plenty of life. This reminded me why I like both Beaujolais and Kermit Lynch. Much darker in color and with more body than many Beaujolais I have tried. Had the bottle open on the counter for 3-4 hours and then just tasted it after sitting in the fridge with a wine stopper. It's still kicking.

E&R's 4th Annual Beaujolais Weekend; 11/22/2013-11/23/2013 (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR) : Tons of brettiness. Really funky at first. As I vigorously swirl this in the glass it does begin to blow off revealing some pretty fruit. Really juicy on the palate, with some nice forest floor too and thick, meaty fruit. Decent minerality. Really impressive structural length on the finish.

A great 2010 Fleurie. A boatload of ripe yet slightly tangy red fruit, spices (including pepper), herbs, stems and granite. Nice acidity on the palate, which is elegant and crunchy, but also well rounded. Slightly meaty. Quite grippy for a Fleurie - perhaps due to its location, which borders Moulin-à-Vent. Drink now with a good airing if you value freshness.

E&R's 3rd Annual Beaujolais Weekend; 11/17/2012-11/18/2012 (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR) : Wow, this one's really funky... brett that I haven't noted in other vintages of this wine. There's light briar fruit as well but it's mostly covered. Nice and fairly large and heavy on the palate. Really fantastic richness and not as electric as other vintages have shown, but here there's still an amazing purity of fruit. The finish is also funky, with some tartness at the end with …

slightly candied cherries with a sour edge, a fresh wet concrete slab in the sun kind of aroma - kind of wet rock-like but not wild; light (12.5%) but with tannins that are somewhere between chunky and velvety - if that makes sense: it is actually like a cross between a Fleurie and a MaV. Well judged underpinning acidity. Sheryfa Luna's sweet voice and the accompanying slightly cheesy music wasn't a great match, being perhaps a little too light hearted …

Deep and surprisingly saturated. The nose leaps out of the glass-crunchy cherries, graphite and some flowers. Light to medium weight, full of energy, tart fruit and lively acidity. Very Gamay and really excellent.

Beaujolais Bonanza (Sydney, Australia) : Another wine with a strong floral element to the nose, the background aromas are of earth, spice and light stems. Bright acidity mingles with light but juicy red fruits on the palate. Another wine that is enjoyable right now, but for me it was behind the Sunier in interest.

Man, Chignard killed it in 2010. This is the most structured and impressive wine I've had from this domaine since 2005. Coiled and serious, and even with lots of air it takes a long time to unwind. There's great bitter bark, herbs, etc., framing the somewhat stern red fruit, which lashes through on a wave of bright acidity. The impression is that of a young Burgundy that needs time to relax its tension. The leftovers the next day are just …

Opened an hour and poured in the glass before tasting. Somewhat expressive nose with some coaxing showing some stem-like herbal qualities and a little meat and briary fruit. Palate was bright and acidic, with tart cherry, orange peel and licorice. Finish is light, expressive, showing stone and spice. Lacking a little fullness on the palate, but may add weigh in time as the acidity fades. Very nice light to medium weight wine that will go great with food. Still a …

nose of bright red fruit - raspberries. Initially dominated by fruit when first opened and slightly high acidity. With air palette deepens but still with the fresh acidity, fruit is less tart but still bright raspberrys, finishes dry, slightly dusty soft tannins and some mineral notes.

Aromas of ripe red cherry, violets and a slight meatiness. Lean with good bright red fruit, predominately raspberry with some tannic grip, but fairly soft overall. Could use some time, but has good focus and balance.

Popped and consumed the second half the following day, which is always necessary when this bottling is released. Red licorice, strawberry puree, white pepper and lavender. Inviting and languid; some structure and feather-lite tannins; there is a nice medium finish. Better the second or third day, this is a Fleurie worth watching. Drink 2012 - 2017.
