Collector Wines Shiraz Reserve

Beguiling, complex, but not quite with matching levels of appeal, for me… just a style thing, will certainly be more in some people’s wheelhouse. Cherry, blueberry. Raw steak, hint of green capsicum. Five spice and pepper. Fine graphite tannin and fresh wash of acidity. Still youthful.

Shiraz (98%) Viognier (2%) beautifully ripe, and combines the intensity and vibrancy of the vintage with the spice, perfume and elegant structure that these vineyards consistently give. Showing plenty of youthful charm now, this wine will be at its best at between five to thirty years of age.

Beautiful medium-bodied weight, with flavour right the length of the tongue; medium dusty tannins and balanced acid all add up to a sum greater than that of its parts.
