My first sherry- my grandparents loved it and Nick had a phase for it so I felt left out, culturally. Though after tasting, I feel significantly less left out. Smells like fridge in a way I cannot describe. Taste gathered at the front of the mouth. Immediate flavor with no further thought. Most wine taste has to be searched for, but this was so immediate, as potent as orange juice tastes like oranges. Mushroomy, savory, a touch of sweetness in …

Gold, brass color. Now 3h after opening. Lovely aromas of nuts, sea spray, iodine, oyster shells. Nice palate w seaweed, salt, cashews and almonds, lovely minerals, iodine, and a medicinal, mildly bitter note. Medium to full body. Excellent, refreshing acids. Nice long finish of nuts, minerals, iodine, seaweed. This is lovely and complex. Deeper, more concentrated, and a touch more oxidative than the Deliciosa en rama and definitely several steps above the regular Deliciosa. Truly delicious.

Last of 10 (!) bottles. Utterly beautiful manzanilla sherry, just a special thing that they're doing now. Silky in texture, which along with the depth and resonance of aroma and flavor, is what sets it so far above the typical (and excellent) bottle of deliciosa. Wonderful wine.

Light golden hue. Gorgeous nose with sea spray and notes of chamomile, iodine, almonds and some hay. Mouthfeel is rich and intense, complex, with nice acidity, sea spray and notes of iodine, almonds, chicken broth and some chamomile, with a long aftertaste. Very special single vintage and single vineyard manzanilla, rich, intense and just gorgeous!

Liked it much less this time around. Lacking the lift and freshness of a young sherry.

Agree with all the other reviewers. Body is way more viscous and rich than other manzanillas that I’ve had. Finish goes on forever. Nose is all flor; dried nuts and sea salt. On the palate, add in a touch of acidity to the palate and some roasted nuts to the finish. Those nice qualities also make me wonder what the heck to pair this with. It is definitely a manzanilla worth contemplation (almost an oxymoron). I’m thinking this needs an …

More powerful and complex than the solera Manzanilla en rama, and more structured and austere, in a good way. There is a wonderful core of charm in there but it can take food to coax it out. A wine for contemplation rather than guzzling (as we often do with the soleras!).

A little on the richer side, but mostly salty and delicious

Excellent! Would love to compare this to Tio Pepe En Rama. It’s dominated by a refreshing note of acetaldehyde. Want more.

Gyllene färg. Utvecklad doft med inslag av gräs, aceton, gula äpplen och flor. I smaken citrus, mineral, hav och gräs. Lång torr smak där floret avrundar. Snustorrt och välbalanserat.

Lovely stuff, and really interesting because you don't often see single-vintage sherry, I think it's a new-ish thing... aromas of caramel, crushed nuts, green apple, vague citrus, yeast, white mushrooms, a little prickle of heat on the nose, this is lifted and complex... compared to the nose I find the palate a little straightforward, but it does open up, and the finish is very long, intense and incisive, very nutty and yeasty... for oysters? would this be fabulous with a …
