If I was trying this blind I would have sworn this was a good Pomerol. Cassis, raspberry, graphite, leather and just a little vanilla. Ripe black fruit is massive on the palate and the very slightly dusty tannins are smooth and resolved. Spiced finish of molasses, balsamic and a touch of violet. Absolutely delicious and in a perfect drinking window.

Silky and smooth with lots of juicy blackberries and black cherries, hint of oak. Good acidity, tannins fully integrated. Absolutely in best shape now and might be stored for some more years.

Great wine. There was a tremendous amount of sediment in the decanter and glass. Still dark purple almost black in the middle. The nose was lighter than expected, faint. I tasted dark fruit and a lot of cherry flavor. Very tannic but food friendly. 5-6 second finish.

Massive, wild and dark nose with aromas of blackberry, plum, raisin, worn leather, tobacco, grilled meat, bacon fat, animal, oak, espresso, , balsamico, dry soil and rusty nails. Some floral overtones of rose petal and violets adding a sense of freshness to it. Full bodied, high tannins and medium(+) acidity. Medium(+) bordering on pronounced intensity. Grandi Marchi Tasting (Dockside Balcony, Cocklebay, Sydney) : Leather, concentrated red cherry and berry, perhaps slight plain chocolate and savoury notes. Touches of cream. In the mouth medium plus body, medium plus acid and medium plus flavours of cherry (both red and black), medium plus grippy, ripe tannin with some alcohol warmth on the finish. Very nice.

Very young but very promising. Intense nose of jammy fruit and violet. On the palate it is rich, dense with noteworthy body (especially compared side by side with estate's tancredi) - medium/long finish. Not cheap and there are many good italian wines at its 40-50 euro price point but a wine that will please for sure.
