This may be another really good find. Selling for about $15 in South Carolina this is a pure Cote Rotie style wine of 90% Syrah and 10% Viognier evidently produced just outside the appellation. Interesting wine. Light maroon/purple. A Syrah(90%) Viognier(10%) blend that checks in at 12% alcohol. Initial sniff shows a woodsy character with underripe cherry. Soft, open and accessible in a drink now style but with enough structure to avoid being flabby. Nice value.
