Wow, what a difference from my last bottle! This was a terrific Shiraz: lots of black fruit with a little spice on the nose. Gorgeous mouthfeel, it was thick and plush, like you want a Shiraz to be, but in no way over-the-top as some in the past have been. Complex and in a great place right now, it went superbly with our roast leg of lamb. www.advinetures.ca

Delightful aged Shiraz, well balanced, medium body, good mouthfeel. Lots of darkfruits: black cherry and brambleberry. Tannins are fully resolved and some secondary characteristics of olive and woodsy notes join to add interest and complexity, though this wine is mostly about the fruit. Finishes just slightly hot. www.advinetures.ca

Completely different wine from my last review 6 months or so ago. Anything the wine had left to give is gone, truly past its best.

Decant 30mins. I understand Parker's review, and for once I actually believe he tasted this one. It kinda hurts me to agree with him too. Nice purple colour, no signs of brown. This wine is all about the nose and front palate, which has a bit of zip, spunk and is tremendous. Something very distinct on the nose, it is warm and firey, ash maybe. Front palate has loads of flavour, coats the mouth with non-alcoholic heat, maybe spice as …

I like the structure of 10 year old shiraz, so it was good

Two years since i opened the last bottle and it has improved. The fruit bomb has mellowed while the tannins have persisted. This has brought the wine more into balance which warrants a couple of points higher in the score. I think this wine has an opportunity to improve over the next 1 to 3 years. If you have any left, I would try it soon.

Typical Aussie fruit bomb from this period. Nothing interesting here. Still lots of fruit, tannins remain.

Excellent smooth Shiraz. I think waiting to drink this until 2009 made a huge difference in its taste and drinkability.

I don't know what I paid for it but I don't think it was much over 30$. I'm not that impressed with it and I think 25$ would be a much more fair price, but ce la vie, shit happens, life is like a box of chocolates..... Last night it was tannic as all hell, but it did have some nice tarry blackberry fruits, yet it seemed disjointed and awkward. Today it's smooth and plushy, it lacks any interesting character …
