Very funky nose of wet animal fur and mushrooms. The taste is completely opposite with fresh and sweet cherries and wet leaves. Huge freshness and drinkability! Fine-grained tannins but also a lovely intensity that highly improves the freshness! Great wine!

Funky nose, can't really get my head around it. But wonderful taste, cherries, but also blue fruit. Mature colour, but at the same time great acidity and tannin punch. Will it get better with age? I am not sure - still, it it great drinking now. Bull's eye with the Brie de Meaux.

Definitely heavier, tannic and more alcoholic than you would expect from Cornelissen. It’s good but would be hard to distinguish as Etna yet alone one of his wines. Black cherry, raspberry liqueur, cassis, dried herbs and ash. Might need time but will never be elegant.

nose - dark fruited, ash, heavy in a way mouth - bold and bigger than I had been expecting, this is a rich and full throttled. it has a sweet sappy richness on the attack but then transitions to a bone dry rather tannic finish. The "Hermitage" of Etna?...

Nerello Mascalese 100%, Alc 15% but easy to drink(It doesn't mean easy to access). Nose: redberry(liquor), dark fruit, earthy, minerals. And orange & forest at the end add some freshness. I learned a 'volcanic' character from this wine.

This wine needs a lot of sleepy time. Initially it was brutishly big, where blinded I guessed Grenache. With hours of air, the wild animal-ness, and that natty funk starts to show making this a much improved and interesting bottle. Tons of red fruit, good acidity, but the tannins are out of balance at this stage. I can barely close my mouth it's so puckering. Say good night to these for a few years.

Volcanic in every sense of the word. This wine virtually erupted out of the bottle - more than alive: frizzant, sharp acidity, mineral driven, lava and ash on the nose and tongue, it overwhelmed me. I will give time before venturing into the next bottle. Rated +1 on a scale of -1 to +3.
