Wattle Creek Sauvignon Blanc Yorkville Highlands

Limpid straw; mid-bodied and racy with a touch of complexity; grassy notes of guava, stonefruit, passion fruit, lime, citrus blossom, and a tug of limestone minerality; has a grainy sweetness that is subdued by a palate-cleansing tang on the steely finish.

Light color. Fairly heavy nose of grass, wet straw, some tropical fruit. High acid on first taste, not much body. Seems a bit unbalanced. Lingering long finish but still too bitter for my taste.

Hmmm. What to say? I'm not sure. There's a great deal of grass, freshly mown and rotting with some wet straw. Grapefruit, lemon zest, herbal notes. It's a bit odd, but I think I like it.
