Christian Hermann, Pinot Noir H, Graubunden

No notes taken. This is full-bodied, intense with a ripe dark red fruit core and still a lot of oak. It�s not so dominating that it taints the experience completely but it�s still too dominating. All that oak and ripeness is signature for this producer, hence I would stay away if you don�t like it. Solid effort but without exceptionalism. Decanting: Not decanted, improved a bit with air. I would give it 60 minutes in the decanter.

This wine has all the components you expect from a great Pinot Noir from the B�ndner Herrschaft: toast and roast aromas, silky ripe tannins, fresh and well integrated acidity, being light-fooded and deep/powerful at the same time, nice red and some darker fruits, good minerality. Not as complex as great Burgundies are but still a treat to drink. Needs some air today and some years to gain some more complexity.

Wieder ein "H" der mir auf Anhieb gef�llt. Dunkles Rubinrot mit Lila Dunkelfruchtig,R�stnoten,zwischendurch floral,leicht pflaumig. Rund,seidig,gute Tiefe,glatte Gerbstoffe,mundf�llend,gute S�ure. Mittellanger leicht s�sslicher Abgang. Doch ein komplexer Vertreter den man erforschen muss. Viel Potential vorhanden.

Wunderbare Nase. Vollmundig, speckig, erdig. Ausgezeichnet.

Wenig Frucht, aber sehr würzig und etwas Leder, erstaunlich dicht, schöne Struktur viel Alkohol, herber und langer Abgang. Erinnert eher an Syrah als an Pinot.
