This wine is past its peak, the tannins are very soft, and the flavors are muddled. Since I usually open a wine too early, this was a good experience to taste a wine after its peak instead of before.

light red, in color. candied, caramel, cherry, forest floor, on the nose. oak, cherry, pepper, tar, raspberry, on the palate. high acid, high tannins, on the finish.
