Whoa. Once of the best Pais I've had. I think the soupçon of Muscat Riesling etc elevates this in a special way. Rich grapes and a bit of old incense dominate the top and a raw silk finish. Not lush but rustic suave. A bit of floral and plums round off. Balanced and good body. Beautiful.

wine comes from a very old plot near the coast (Paredones) planted mainly with Pais (~85%), with the rest a smattering of Semillon, Moscatel, and even Riesling. the entire field blend is co-fermented and brought up in stainless. the resulting wine is a delightful dark ruby with light body juice. the nose is generous and fresh with red fruits with some floral touches; and the freshness continues in the mouth with red berry flavours in a tingly acidity framed by …
