Certainly ripe and tasty but probably needs a few more years for the wood to integrate. Improved thorughout the night and will definitely satisfy fans of the more opulent school of Pinot noir ... but does its True Pinot character get lost in the winemaking?

WOTN. Deep rich nose of dark and red furit, spices, lemon, and wood. Slightly reminiscent of Cotes de Nuits. Mouth mid bodied, great balance, deep plum flavor at its core with good minerality, and a nice ebullient red fruits (strawberry) on the midpalate, with a great finish. Benefited from 1-2 hours of air. A delicious and complex bottle and though this was my last I wished for one more to store for 5 years to retry.

Strawberry and cherry nose. Not too expressive. Very nice pinot showing cherries, and spice. A bit one dimensional but a very nice wine with a medium body, and 30 second finish. You could do far worse.
