I had not tried a bottle in almost 4 years. At that time my notes said it was to young and needed more cellar time. For once I was right on. The wine has matured. It was opened two hours before dinner and poured though a vintorio. Red fruit on the nose, cherries and plums with hints of spice on the palate. The finish which was flat four years ago was moderate to long and vibrant.

Tasty raspberry, floral, and spice aromas and flavors with soft tannins on the moderate finish.

This burly wine paired to grilled Persian kebabs like an Olympic ice skating couple. Two bearded ladies in perfect balance and unison.

Red fruit on the nose, cherries and plums on the palate, the finish was decent. Perhaps because of its youth or lack of air time I found the wine to be flat on the finish. My wife and daughter liked it hence the 89 score. A few more years in the cellar might really help.
