What a beautiful wine. A standout expression of full bodied elegance and complexity. Lots of varied fruits with a nice velvety tannin balance. Plenty of life left in this one if your lucky enough to have one.

Dark ripe fruits. Balanced and complex. Not surprisingly very close to a small year Hill of Grace. Wished I had another one. Drink now

Still showing deep dark colour. Mulberries, blackberries, liquorice, Asian spice and violets on the nose. Full- body. Harmonious, rich and concentrated. Persistent finish. Shows that slightly cooler Eden Valley Shiraz style (compared to Barossa Valley). Outstanding.

A lovely wine in its absolute prime. Very restrained and not at all fruit forward. Will likely hold up for some time yet but I wouldn’t push it.

Sensational Shiraz from amazingly young vines. Massive dark fruit, thick mouth coating texture, tannins that are pliable but will last decades. Enjoyed by half a dozen friends. Wish I had more!

Henschke Masterclass at Decanter Fine Wine Experience (Landmark Hotel, London) : Appearance: compact dark red. Nose: ripe dark berries, mint liquorice, some tar, dried tobacco leaves, discrete flowery notes, very elegant. Palate: quite concentrated, slightly sweet ripe dark berries, sweet liquorice, pepper, cloves, rather powerful but slightly softened tannins. Summary: more elegant than Mount Edelstone 2006. Young, but reasonably accessible, 92+ p.
