This is my first time trying wine from this winery—some age on this Chardonnay. The aroma has hints of flint, apple, dried grass, turpentine, and a touch of white flowers, all very subtle. The finish brings citrus, oak, and candied ginger flavours. After two hours, the finish became longer, and the wine developed more body. The lady of the house enjoyed it more.

Golden yellow color, perfumy apple peel aromas, minerals and chalk. A little bit buttery popcorn on the palate (maybe a bit too much oak for my liking), but nice acidity and minerality.

Waxy, leesy, yellow apple nose with subtle sweet spice notes. Medium-bodied with good freshness and balance; doughy, ginger notes on the finish. 4/5

Probably should have opened this a year ago, smooth fruit and gentle buttered toast, and it tastes of the County, but lacking the acidity that would have made it a better match for Cedar Planked Salmon with a maple-soy glaze and a creamy spring fettuccine.

Vin blanc avec une belle droiture et un soupçon de pêche blanche. Le vin est persistant en bouche quoique discret au nez. 89 sur 100.

Seemed a bit...muted. Maybe I've come to expect too much from Hardie. This was fairly textbook. Excellent chard qualities. Nothing too much. Delicious texture. The word that comes to mind when I think Hardie is tensile strength and this has that. Finish on this was a bit modest and wasn't as sculpted but still very nice.

Lovely Burgundian style with a range of classic Chardonnay flavours from Meyer lemon to apple, creamy and mineral with a long tropical fruit finish.

Nose dominated by petrol with notes of apple pie, lemon zest and wet stone. Far from the creamy California Chardonnay. This wine is light and acidic. Palate is apple, lemon, lime and minerality.

Prominent nose (exuberant for a chardonnay) of baked apple and pineapple. Ripe apple, tropical fruit, brioche, leesy, a touch of vanilla. All that being said, this reads more as "flashy old world" than "heavy new world." A hint of reduction and core of mineral lead to a broad, fleshy, viscous, and savory finish. This is a perfect example of inherently rich chardonnay and not an oaked monstrosity. The balance within the ripe vintage prevents cloying elements. Very nice. Interestingly the …

Highly aromatic nose is flinty and toasty with ripe apple, vanilla, and lemon aromas in a slightly reductive profile. It is medium-bodied on the palate with crisp, clean acids and reductive in style with more lemon, mineral, and poached apple flavours. Long, persistent finish that shows some of that famed County minerality.

Light yeasty/toasty aromas, with some stone and mineral. Lemon but not overpowering. Drinks like a very young chablis.
