Domaine Verdier-Logel Côtes du Forez Poycelan

I compared it with Julien Sunier Morgon 2023. Glass Zalto Burgundy Dark color of Poycelan, very light on Morgon, nose a world appart, Côtes du Forez blew the Morgon away. Taste from Morgon was thin with no aftertaste, Poycelan clearly old vigne and a bless. Prictag Poycelan 15€, Morgon 30€. Volcanique Gamay is a masterpiece, seek it out, try Côte de Roannaise too another style, more polished.

This wine is old vignes, more concentrated, Gamay on a higher level, best with food, spicy food the French way and cheese from Auvergne or e.g. Saint Nectaire.
