Good rendition of a left bank Bordeaux. Red fruit with medium tannins and some earthiness. Medium bodied with a medium finish.

Cliff lede seems to require some time and also breathing once open. this wine night 2 was very nice and I wish we hadn't had the 1st half of the bottle the first night.

a nice take on a left bank Bordeaux. Light red fruit on the palate with a hint of forest floor. Medium tannins and a medium finish

Loads of dark berries, cassis, light licorice and excellent balance of tannins and fruit! One of the best Clarets from Cliff Lede!

Left bank style blend from Lede. Mostly cassis and black raspberry on the palate. Opened and decanted this for almost two hours before drinking. Was still a bit “hot” and tannic at that point. After about 4 hours open this started to open nicely to reveal some additional complexity with some licorice, coffee and chocolate. Still will last for another three to five years.

A great Bordeaux blend from Napa. Easy on the nose, but quite elegant on the palate. This wine will improve in a couple of years. Drink or hold

tons of fruit. high alcohol. Gets better through the night. I could imagine drinking this with BBQ food

This might be my favorite claret from Lede to date. Aromatically intense and deep. Creme de cassis dominates the nose at this point. On the palate this is very well balanced with acidity, tannin, fruit and alcohol hitting in harmony. If drinking now, decant for a good 30 mins. If holding, give it 3-5 years for tannins to settle.

For my palate, this is too early to drink with the oak, tannins and alcohol fighting for dominance.

Just a killer bottle of wine for everyday. I had this with brick oven pizza, and the fruit just came out so easily. Cheers!

Decent fruit on the nose, but it is unbalanced with the tannins on the palate and has too much green peppers to be pleasant. Unfortunately, I think this wine is past its prime and is not going to get any better...

Solid Napa cab. Dark rich full bodied, drinking well first and second nights. Second night in particular: no spice, not hot/no harsh tannins, nice Napa fruit.

Good nose on open, good tannins, opened well in 45 mins. This wine was and continues to be a great value

Oaky day one but got lusher and less oaky day two. Good structure and depth.

Oaky oaked oak. Had been open for nearly 72 hours and was still drinking decently. Lost most of its fruit but still had nice structure and some depth, but obviously plenty of new american oak. Will drink well for several more years.

Bit oaky and young, should probably have decanted but was impatient. Has substance 4 on the YUM

decanted for about an hour. The nose had some cherry and licorice and a little leather. Very firm tannins and dry finish. pretty big mouthfeel and a decent finish. Seems that it can/should set in the cellar for a while. The score is current and a little based upon the potential.

Too much oak for me. Some fruit, but relatively short finish and tannins have not softened. Will revisit in a year or two.

Needs about an hour of air to dissipate the heat that pops out at first, then blossoms into a beautiful wine with great deep dark fruit nuances and toasty baking spice notes.

Decanted for 1 hour and it was tight as nails. Some dark fruit on the nose but with leather and mineral elements. Medium bodied with some fruit showing but masked by strong tannins. Dry and tannic on the finish. Decanted for another 24 hours and the wine opened up considerably. Still the same profile but much more approachable and gave a hint of what this wine will be in a few years time. This wine really isn't ready for drinking …

There is a reason I always love this wine. Big nose of dark fruit, cassis and some brown sugar to go along with a medium bodied, well structured palate that is nicely balanced. Dependable, pleasing, and relatively inexpensive per Napa standards.

Much better than 6 months ago, and she will develope with another 6 to 9 months. While less fruit than 05 Claret she now shows finesse and good structure, with red currant, black cherry, and a pinch of cranberry..Nice finish with good amount of currant. Glad I have 6 more bottles to age.

A nice claret. Big nose of balckberries, flowers and dark fruit. The taste is a bit hot and could cue more time, but it's a typical Lede.... just wonderful.

as of now needs to be decanted for at least half-an-hour, great aroma of oak and dark fruit with some green pepper, big flavors of dark cherries, tobacco, and sweet blackberry, long, dry finish, shows some real potential, seems more focused compared to the past two vintages, still tannic, young, a good value in the next years to come
