Wines Tasted at the La Paulée Verticals Session (The Maybourne, Beverly Hills) : Slightly lighter shade than the 2018 Echezeaux. Cooler, more complex aromas combining fruit and perfumed savory elements. Spicy black and blue fruit that is electric and more elegant than the younger wine. Excellent acidity, discrete, light oak, a swirl of earth, and well integrated tannins. Outstanding, already complex and deeply satisfying, beautiful length, and decades of aging potential. So reflective of both site and vintage. A real …

La Paulée de Los Angeles - The Verticals (Maybourne Hotel - Beverly Hills CA) : Walkaround tasting. Ripe and bright red fruits throughout with baking spice. Rich and fun already with wonderful balance. Easily the best of the trio to enjoy right now.

The Genius of Domaine d’Eugénie (67@Home Zoom Tasting) : There's 20 or so rows of vines here making a 0.5 hectare plot, 40 - 70 years of age. 7 barrels were made, 5 were new. Medium body, quite intense on the palate but the nose is still quite shy and closed, there's plenty of fruit here though it's still very young, it stains the palate with its intensity and then a lovely wave of acidity cleanses the finish well

La Paulée 2020 Grand Tasting of 2017 Burgundy (Pier 60, New York) : More floral than the Brulées but also black fruit on the nose. Slightly more of everything here-fine soil base, snappy acidity, and excellent length. Very impressive future ahead of this one.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY) : Walk around tasting. Big and burly black and red cherry, this is a powerful 2017 with good concentration. I find it slightly oaky today, but that should likely integrate 2027 forward, 91+ point potential.
