Mature white wine, but not oxidized. White and yellow fruit. There is lemon here, but mixed with apples. An herbelness as well. Medium bodied. Was this better younger? I think they depends on how you like your wine. I had this a couple of years ago and remember it being fresher, but perhaps this is wiser? I would drink them if you've got them, as I get the feeling that oxidation is around the corner, and probably a few bottles …

2020 vintage

Light golden. Gamey, fleshy nose, almost like artichoke crossed with sardines. In flavor rather aggressive like a dry Muscat and somewhat vegetal (again artichoke) with an orange rind finish. In a way it resembles dry vermouth. Demands food. In thinking about this wine the next day, I believe it suffers from some winemaking flaw. Anyone else have thoughts?

Really different white. Interesting combination of melon and herbs. Had a rustic mouthfeel almost similar to chenin that wasn’t my taste.

Light yellow color. Some white flowers on a relative not expressive nose. Citrus and mineral flavors with abundant acidity. Good wine. Had at Campiello in Naples.

Denne var den stygge andungen for 2-3 år siden. Har utviklet seg til en grasiøs svane. Tropisk søt frukt, pære og bitre urter har blitt til epler, mandler, sitrus og blomster. Flott vin som minner om nord Rhône og burgund møter Albarino. Frisk, kremet struktur med bra lengde. Fremdeles litt grønt, men bedre integrert.

Back vintage nascetta. Why not. Two nascetta in one day. And it's tamed down. Tastes like derthona to me.

Weekly tasting group #220; A mixed set fully blind tasted. (@ PvdV) : Bouquet with yellow fruits like mango, some bread dough and almonds. On the palate honey, yellow fruits, almonds, mild acidity and pleasant bitterness.

Retailer tasting (@ N in L) : Not so many notes. Some fennel in the bouquet. On the palate flowers, grasses, pear, apple and melon. Ok acidity and bitterness. Overall a clean and quite basic wine.

First time to try a wine with this grape. Light and refreshing, medium dry, with a slight minerality / saline finish. No oak.

This wine is 100% Nascetta, which is an autochthonous variety from the Novello region. This is quite floral on the nose. I've also got some passion fruit, ripe peaches and hints of honey...really nice on the nose. On the palate, this is full bodied (maybe "weighty" would be a better adjective) with silky texture and very good acidity. It was a perfect match for Gomes de Sá codfish. I really enjoyed the experience. Recommended!

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #056; Special varietals. (By RvD) : Fresh and also aromatic and spicy in the nose. On the palate a bit fat with honey and peach and quite much oak. Reminds me of gewürztraminer.
